Siyaphambili is a Youth Unlimited program that creates incentives for youth to promote development in their communities and to improve their own skills. Existing football teams and players earn points based on whether they win or lose games, but now, through Siyaphambili, players can earn additional points by completing community service work or taking additional skills courses for themselves. Ultimately, the teams with the most points will earn an invitation to the Siyaphambili tournament and an opportunity to win prizes, earn funding, or be scouted by major league teams. By engaging youth in the improvement of themselves, their friends, and their communities, Siyaphambili contributes to an environment of meaningful and sustainable social change in South Africa.
